#StandWithSeniors

Our senior loved ones are incredibly vulnerable right now, and they need our help.

We are asking everyone to #StandWithSeniors and help protect our senior living communities during COVID-19. While everyone is dealing with their own set of difficult circumstances brought on by the pandemic, our senior population remains as some of the most vulnerable.

Currently, senior living communities are being overlooked, under-supported, and under-assisted in their defense against COVID-19. These communities that house our most vulnerable population, and many of our loved ones, do not have the proper financial or physical resources that they need to supply the necessary protection against the spread of the coronavirus. They need our help.

These senior living communities have to provide daily personal protective equipment to both the caregivers on staff and the residents – a costly but necessary new expensive for them. They also have had to change daily activities and routines, which costs more money and resources.

To ensure the safety of senior residents and caregivers, and to stop the spread of the virus, senior living communities need support in providing an increased amount of PPE and testing. These senior living communities have begun to reach out, asking for support from those who have extra time, money, or resources that they would be willing to donate.

To help #StandWithSeniors and protect our elderly population during this time, consider contacting your local or your loved one’s senior living community to ask how you can be of assistance.

Check out the Alzheimer’s Association’s statement on the situation here: https://bit.ly/3bs35Bx. Our seniors cannot be overlooked during this difficult time. Please consider what you can do to help.
