On this Monday morning, we wanted to share what motivates us during this difficult time. This past month has been challenging for us, as we’re sure it has been for all of you. As we all practice social distancing, we have not been able to physically see our mom for weeks.
Our mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s over 10 years ago and her kids, us, quickly became her main caregivers. Currently, our mom is in an assisted living facility and we are not allowed to visit, nor is she allowed to leave. We have been able to connect through Facetime and phone calls, but it raises a lot of anxiety and fear to know that our mom is there, and we can’t really do anything to help her.
While these times are incredibly tough, we know that we have to stay strong for our mom, as her kids and caregivers. We want to be able to support her as much as we can, and when we finally see her, we all want to be healthy and capable of doing so.
Our motivation each day, week, and month that passes is our mom. We are doing everything we can to stay healthy, optimistic, and productive, so that when we are able to spend time with her again, we can. We are also motivated by our family who are staying strong through all of this, no matter where we may be during this pandemic.
For this #MotivationMonday, we hope that you all can keep in mind something that can motivate you to get up in the morning. What are some things that are motivating you all?
